Fictional Bucket List #8

Untitled

I have spotted several versions of the Fictional Bucket List popping up on a few blogs now and I think it is really awesome so I couldn’t resist making up a list of my own!

Basically it is a bucket list for all the literary worlds you would love to visit or literary characters you would like to interact with – the sky’s the limit! Throughout the month of October I will be counting down my top 10 so stay tuned! I have already shared my #10 choice here, and my #9 choice here. My #8 choice would be…

Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Here are the rules:

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

  • Participants are to create their own Stacking the Shelves post and link bank to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
  • Posts can be laid out any way you want.
  • The host site posts updates on a Saturday but bloggers taking part can post any day they choose.
  • Visit Tynga’s Reviews on a Saturday and add your link.
  • Visit other participants sites to find out what they have added!

The rules are simple and it is a really fun way to showcase your books and see what other bloggers are excited about this week! Not to mention the fact that it is a good way to interact with and get to know other bloggers!

The Friday 56: Blue Lily, Lily Blue

friday 56

This is a weekly meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. The rules are as follows:

Grab a book, any book.

Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grabs you.
Post it.
Add your URL post in the link on Freda’s most recent Friday 56 post.

I am so utterly and completely excited about the book I am reading this week. I adore this series – I would go as far to say as Maggie Stiefvater is my newest favourite author. I wasn’t going to post this week but I just had to share a snippet from this amazing book!

Waiting on Wednesday: Fairest

wow

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that showcases the upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

I was taking part in both Waiting on Wednesday and WWW Wednesdays but it was getting a little too much trying to do both on the same day. I have decided to keep doing both but now on alternate weeks. That way I can still keep doing both of them – the best of both worlds really!

Top Ten Places/Worlds Books Have Made Me Want To Visit

ttt1

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:

Top Ten Places/Worlds Books Have Made Me Want To Visit

This is going to be really difficult – there are just so many places where I would love to go! I definitely lean towards fantasy novels – the more fantastical the better – so most of my choices reflect this.

INFP – Who Am I?

Untitled2

A while back, I took the  Myers-Briggs personality test (see my post here) which showed that I am an INFP (which stands for introversion, intuition, feeling, perception). I…really cannot disagree with that result. I decided (upon seeing a few posts about this on other blogs) to revisit the test to see if I get the same result…and I did!
