Well I’ve gone and done it – I have finally moved all of my stuff over to the new blog!
Please feel free to come and visit (no really – please do!!!) – I would love to see all of you over there! I will no longer be updating this blog (I will be responding to any comments though!) but I have had such a great time getting to know everyone and I do feel a little sad that my time on WordPress.com has come to an end. But, it is time for a new adventure – I am really looking forward to seeing where the future takes me!
Here is my new blog address:

Sorry to have been MIA for the last week or so! I have some exciting news! I finally took the plunge and went self-hosted!
It has been quite an exciting time but not without its share of bumps in the road. I have had various issues moving my blog stuff over and on top of that I somehow managed to get a virus and had to wipe my computer! Anti-virus package really let me down there. 😦
I have been busy trying to get everything sorted out so have not had time to respond to comments which I feel absolutely terrible about! I am hoping to get most of my stuff organised over the next couple of days and I will hopefully be able to link to my new (work-in-progress) self-hosted blog! Yay!!
Speak to you all very soon!
I was tagged for this by Batool @ Batool’s Book Feels – this was a lot of fun so thanks very much to Batool for tagging me in this!
Basically, how this works is I’m given a list of ten books, and I have to react to these books using gifs. I then get to nominate people and choose ten books for them to react to!
Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Here are the rules:
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
- Participants are to create their own Stacking the Shelves post and link bank to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
- Posts can be laid out any way you want.
- The host site posts updates on a Saturday but bloggers taking part can post any day they choose.
- Visit Tynga’s Reviews on a Saturday and add your link.
- Visit other participants sites to find out what they have added!
The rules are simple and it is a really fun way to showcase your books and see what other bloggers are excited about this week! Not to mention the fact that it is a good way to interact with and get to know other bloggers!
Read Play Blog is a meme about video games and books, posted every 16th of the month. Bloggers are encouraged to answer a discussion question, and recommend a video game that is similar to a book they liked. Hosted by Happy Indulgence Books & Read Me Away.
Question: What games are you looking forward to in 2015?
Oh boy – there are way too many games I am excited for in 2015! There seems to be a plethora of games being released in 2015 and among them some games I have been eagerly awaiting for quite some time. This list could virtually be endless so I am going to do my best to narrow it down.
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that showcases the upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
My pick for this week:
WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?
I haven’t really been taking part in WWW Wednesdays for the last couple of months, mainly because my reading had taken a substantial drop – I barely read anything at all in November and December. I am hoping to put this reading slump behind me in 2015 and so far it is looking a lot better.
I actually have finished a couple of books! Woo hoo! Seriously, this lack of interest/motivation to read is so unlike me – normally I rattle through books so when I can’t even make it through one book I actually worry!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To
If I were to list all the new releases I didn’t get around to reading last year this post would be practically endless! It’s a good job I am only listing ten in total. This was probably the least thinking I have had to do for a Top Ten Tuesday post ever – I just had to look at my bookshelves and point to find a book I hadn’t read yet. 😉
I have gotten really far behind on these blog award acceptance thingies! I am incredibly touched and grateful whenever I am nominated for an award by any of my fellow bloggers so please do not think that the lack of response from me means that I do not appreciate that someone has taken the time to read my scattered thoughts and opinions! I am humbled that anyone would consider my little corner of the blogosphere award-worthy. I love you guys! ❤
I was nominated for the Beautiful Blogger Award in November by a blogger I really admire – Diana @ Brilliantly Novel. Please go and check out her blog – you will not be disappointed! Big thanks to Diana for thinking of me.
It feels like it was barely any time at all since I put up my December post – and now we are into January! 2014 in general was a really quick year, which in some ways is good since it means all of those new releases are just that much closer!
Mind you, if you are anything like me and you are having to penny-pinch after all the Christmas hullabaloo, it is not so good that time is marching on quite so quickly. I will really need to watch my spending this year and I have made a resolution to stop buying so many new releases – which does kind-of fly in the face of this particular feature!
Nevermind, I am sure that I will work something out! In the meantime, I am still going to highlight each month’s new releases that I am most excited for.
Here are my picks for January:
